Speech

In writing for the past couple of weeks we have been working on speeches to read out to our homebase and our homebase teacher would choose 2 people to go speech canterbury's. My Speech is about what I want to be when i'm older and about it. Do you like writing Speech's?

Te Reo Māori

In Te Reo Māori this term we gave been doing classroom objects. Last week we did a Kahoot on classroom objects, on the screen would be a classroom object in Maori and there would be options in English of which one it was. This is not finished!!!

Goal Ladder

In class today I had to make 2 goal ladders. One about learning and the other one about our 5 r's. For my learning one I choose to do mine about reading, my goal is to be up to date on my reading tasks. For my 5 R's goal ladder I chose to do it about respect.

Reading Task

In reading for the past couple of weeks we have been reading an article about fair chocolate Mrs A has created this slide with comprehension questions on. Most days she will call down one group at a time and read the article. After we would answer the questions on the pages or page we read, the article is about a Christchurch company who deals with  cacao bean producers from all over the world. By the way this is not finished!! Do you like reading?

Winter Sport

Reflection

In winter sport this term I'm doing football and in my team are:  Jessi, Jayden, Quinn, George, Tyler, Mathew, Ben, Shree, Frankie. Our football team is called ' Marshland Rangers'. We've won about 3 games and lost about 7. On our first game we won and on last weeks game we lost. The score for last weeks game was 8-0. Team captain was Ben and player of the day was me. In the first half we were off to a good start and no one had scored yet. Then in the second half we were still doing really well but the other team started to score goals. Over all it was really fun and I'm sad that there's only 1 week left of winter sport. I feel like I've got better through out the games and it has built up my confidence of actually go to the ball instead of waiting for the ball to come too me.

Why Animal Abuse Should Be A Crime

In writing this term we have been looking at persuasive writing. Ms A let us vote whether we wanted her to give us a topic or for us to choose our own one. I wanted to do my own was so I chose why animal abuse should be a crime, I know it's already a crime but some people have their own opinions on it. This is a work in progress.

Winnie the Pooh's Adventure

                 Winnie The Pooh’s Adventure.

One sunny but dull day Winnie the pooh was sitting looking out his window thinking of what he would like to do. All of a sudden he got a thought, he wanted to go to the beach. He called in all of his fellow friends to his house, he sat down and started arranging what would happen. Him and his friends all agreed that they wanted to go to the beach, Pooh and his friends backed their bag and set off for an adventure. They had to walk across a bridge pooh wanted to play Pooh sticks, Winnie the Pooh grabbed two sticks and gave one the piglet on three they dropped the sticks and Piglets one was winning but Poohs one wasn't far behind. They ran around the other side of the bridge Pooh's one was now in the lead at last Winnie the pooh won!

In home base houra we chose 1 of our favourite foods and researched about it.

Leah's Leopard Information Report

In writing we were writing an Information report on either an endangered animal or an extreme weather. I decided to do mine on an endangered animal called the Amur Leopard, the Amur leopard is mostly found in Russia but can also be found just off Asia.

My camp recount

When I first came to camp I didn't like climbing up that massive hill to actually get to our camp site,on our first day. I had a lot of challenges the main one was getting on the rope swing. The rope swing was a strong thick rope that goes through the tree and ties in a knot,when i got on the rope swing i was scared because it goes so high,but i went on it anyway. My favourite part about camp was going in the swimming with my friends and playing rugby. One of my other favourite activities were the air rifle shooting.Air rifle shooting is when you put a pallet in the air rifle and you rest your cheek on the back of it,close one eye to aim at the target.
