My Koru Art

Kia Ora bloggers,

For the past couple of weeks we've been looking at Koru designs. At first we had to draw a picture of a koru and a few more designs along with it, after that we had to colour it with pastels but in a certain way. At first we had to use the darkest shade and then a lighter shade then the lightest shade and then white, then we dyed all of the white bits we had left I used the black dye so the colours would stand out. Here's my picture :)

We worked on this for about 3 weeks until it was completed.  I learned that a Koru represents the beginning of a new life, growth and strength.

  1. Hi Leah
I like the colors you have used they stand out and look nice together next time you could explain your design so people have a good idea of what inspired you :)
